YARMOUTH, N.S. — Yarmouth’s first SWITCH of the summer saw lots of activity take place on Main Street on July 28.
There were numerous vendors selling everything from potted plants to baked goods, toys and crafts. There was also music, sports and activities for children.
The event also gave many non-profit organizations and fundraising groups a chance to set up tables, meet the public and provide information about what they do and the causes they support.
Organized by the Town of Yarmouth and Yarmouth Recreation, the event turns Main Street from a vehicular traffic thoroughfare into a pedestrian promenade.
The next SWITCH will take place on Aug. 25, from noon to 4 p.m.
Businesses are asked to contact organizers by email to be included. Organizers are creating a calendar to identify vendors/organizations participating on that day and would also like to include those businesses that will be open during the event.
