YARMOUTH, N.S. — Last summer, folks were treated to the outdoor film experience of watching the Muppets at Le Village historique acadien de la Nouvelle-Écosse in West Pubnico, and Maudie behind the Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Library in Yarmouth, on a 30-foot inflatable screen. The FIN Outdoor movie experience returns to the region June 21 and 22, with an outdoor showing of Mamma Mia! (2008) at Le Village, on Friday, June 21. On Saturday, June 22, Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) will be shown in the green space located behind the Yarmouth library.
“Yarmouth & Acadian Shores is incredibly proud to continue our partnership with FIN Outdoor after a successful debut in 2018," said Neil Mackenzie, executive director of Yarmouth & Acadian Shores.
"We’re excited to partner with creative groups like the Atlantic Film Festival and bring new events to the region. We can’t wait for another weekend of outdoor movies under the stars and on the screens.”
Attendance is free with no cost to see the films. Seating for the shows will begin at 8:15 p.m. with movies beginning at 8:45 p.m. Viewers are encouraged to bring their own blanket or lawn chair to the showings. Concessions will be available for purchase on-site.
