KINGSTON, N.S. - They may not be as busy as Santa and his crew, but there’s no denying the Kingston Lions have their work cut out for them every year on Dec. 24.
Many volunteers with the local service club rise long before the sun on Christmas Eve to prepare a community breakfast for hundreds to enjoy.
And this year was no exception.
The Christmas Eve Breakfast, now a holiday tradition for generations of local families, ran from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The free-will offering event offers up a full hot breakfast – drinks, sausage, ham, eggs, toast, hash browns, pancakes and muffins – and a visit from Santa.
