Coconut Creek is now open in Digby.

The gift shop is expanding into a second location. They currently have a store in Dartmouth.

Owners Tammy MacLennan and Tammy Flynn are looking forward to the new expansion.

“We get a real sense of energy from Digby,” said MacLennan.

The store offically opened today, July 3.

Both owners are from small towns and were impressed with the amount of traffic Digby has.

They are going to be open year round, with hopes in appealing to both tourists and locals.

Coconut Creek has a little bit of everything. They have a large selection of anything from jewelry to hats.

The store prides in offering over 70 Canadian made products, including some made in Digby.

They hope to continue carrying local products and are always open to offers from local suppliers.

“We do believe in supporting local and in return we hope people will support us because we are local,” MacLennan said.

The owners spent the last few weeks preparing for opening day, unboxing merchandise and training staff.

The store located next to Wilson’s Bowling Alley, 310 Hwy 303 Conway, Unit A, is completely transformed.

They've already been receiving comments about the new blue and green paint outside.

“We’ve gotten such positive feedback so far. We’ve been feeling a lot of love from Digby.”

Coconut Creek is hosting a grand opening BBQ on July 7 with the help of their neighbours, AA Munro Insurance.
