My name is Wyatt and I am fourteen months old. Ever since I was a little baby I’ve been enjoying the Lifeplex and many of the activities it has to offer. My parents have been teaching me the importance of an active lifestyle because they want me to live a healthy, long life. They bring me swimming to ensure I am comfortable in the water and to help me develop the necessary skills to be a competent swimmer. They bring me to the community room so I can play with my friends and develop social skills while increasing my endurance, lung capacity and gross motor skills. But mostly they bring me to the Lifeplex so I can have fun, laugh and meet new people. I understand that I am more likely to be an active adult if I have an active childhood. Activity will also help make me more adept at handling stress and give me more confidence in my abilities. I will also be more likely to maintain a healthy weight and avoid a host of health problems due to inactivity, including heart disease and diabetes. But most importantly, activity will help me have a more positive outlook on life!
By closing the Lifeplex my friends and I are being robbed of a healthy and active future. Even I know the staggering costs of a sedentary lifestyle on the health care system. Why not spend a bit of money now to save so much more in the future? I have my whole life ahead of me – please help me make it the best life possible.
Sincerely,
Wyatt Macanuel
