CLARE, N.S – The Par-en-Bas Sharks have won the NSSAF Division 3 Western regionals championship.

The Sharks won the regionals title with a 2-1 win over the Barrington Barons in the championship game held at the Université Sainte-Anne arena in Clare on Saturday, March 3.
Scoring for the Sharks were Patrick d'Entremont and Josh Boudreau. Scoring for the Barons was Jude Greenwood.

During regionals Par-en-Bas also had an 8-0 win over Clare and a 9-2 win over Middleton.
The Division 3 provincials are being hosted by Par-en-Bas at the Mariners Centre in Yarmouth March 23-25. Barrington advances to provincials from last weekend’s regionals, where they had a 7-2 win over Middleton and an 11-0 win over Clare.

Just four teams competed in regionals. Middleton, which finished in third place last weekend, will play a qualifier game with the 4th place finisher from Cape Breton to try to secure a spot in provincials.

That third place regionals spot nearly went to Clare. Middleton defeated Clare 4-3 in overtime.
Clare does not advance to provincials.
