The club saw their newly formed beginner synchronized skating team finish with a bronze during the Feb. 25-26 competition.
This team is comprised mostly of skaters from the CanSkate (learn to skate) program and this event was the first time any of the skaters had ever competed.
Riverview’s elementary team brought home silver, which was a significant improvement after a fourth place finish earlier this season.

Riverview’s elementary team brought home silver, which was a significant improvement after a fourth place finish earlier this season.
Riverview skaters also make up part of the Kentville juvenile synchronized skating team, which finished with a gold medal skate, and Greenwood’s pre-novice synchro team, who nearly replicated their personal best skate.
In individual competition, Riverview saw many bronze and silver award winners from their StarSkaters in the star 1-5 and interpretive categories. These skaters were: Marissa Hood, Raylynn Dill, Payton McDonald, Kaylee Hubley, Amy Amirault, Julia Frizzell, Abby Haliburton, Becca Haliburton, Georgia Richardson, Megan Leopold, Libby Partridge, Hannah Milsom, Bishop Lake and Chloe Harvie.
In qualifying events, Riverview’s Briana Sexton and Maia Pothier will move on to represent the club at the Atlantic Skating Championships in East Hants. The competition will be held April 7-9.
