KINGSTON – The Riptide Rollers are making their presence known within the community.
The recruiting roller derby group hosted a skate-a-thon fundraiser at the Credit Union Centre arena in Kingston June 23.
The event aimed to entertain guests of all ages. The list of family-fun activities included games, bounce castles, a colouring station, ticket auction, live music by Vance McLeod, guests skaters, an impressive performance by visiting trick skaters from Coffin Skate Shop in Halifax and, of course, lots of laps around the roller rink.
