The Berwick Amateur Boxing Club is hosting an evening card Saturday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Berwick Lion's Hall.

Saturday promises to be an exciting evening, the first boxing match for boxers under the age of 19 years since the national competition in January.

National gold medalist Maddison Fraser (Tri-County Mariners, Yarmouth) will meet Salene Best (Evangeline Trail Amateur Boxing Club, Kentville) in the ring.

National silver medalist Phylicia O'Connell from the Tri-County Mariners, Yarmouth will face Bridget Stevens (Jim's Gym), Halifax in a rematch from an earlier bout held at the Casino, Halifax.

Senior National silver medalist Chantelle Doucette, Tiger Boxing Club, New Minas; will match up with former Junior National silver medalist, Rachael Aalders of the Evangeline Trail Amateur Boxing Club, Kentville.

Cyrus "Sugar Bear" Taylor (Pegasus Amateur Boxing Club, Middleton) meets Charlie Lyons (Westville Academy of Boxing, Pictou County).

Cadet National silver medalist Daniel Jessom (Tommy Gordon Amateur Boxing Club, Cape Breton) meets Mike McGrath (Westville Academy of Boxing, Pictou County).

Kelsey Salsman (Berwick Amateur Boxing Club) will face Beth Muir (Pegasus Amateur Boxing Club, Middleton).

All of the bouts are subject to change. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 10 years. There will be a 50/ 50 draw. The canteen and bar will be provided by the Berwick and District Lion's.
