The Liverpool Regional High School Warriors held a basketball tournament to open the season on Nov. 21 and 22, bringing teams from around the South Shore to the community. At left is Liverpool player Jose Miguel Pena taking on a Forest Heights player.
Earlier this week, defeated Barrington 52-41 on Jan. 13. Morgan Murphy led four players, scoring double figures with 12 points, while Daichi Iyama and Jose Miguel Pena each scored 10. The inside team of Adrian Everett and Andre Onel were particularly effective, with Everett picking up 11 points and nine rebounds while Onel had nine points and 11 rebounds.
On Jan. 11, the Liverpool squad travelled to Par en Bas and were defeated 60-45. Pena scored 16 points and Everett added 12.
