Mark Tye, the Avon View Avalanche's head coach, will be part of the Eastern Division coaching staff. His club is one of the top three teams in the division and four players were selected as all-stars. The players are Tyler LaPierre, Mitchell Singer, Ben Davidson and goaltender William Earley.

Going into play this past weekend, Earley had a 2.88 GAA on the season and was leading the league in minutes played.

Forwards Davidson and LaPierre have recorded 13 and 12 points respectively this season, with both players recording seven assists apiece. Singer plays a strong offensive-defensive game and has recorded four goals and eight assists this season.

The Avalanche's girl's team has the second best record in the league. They also saw four players named to the All-Stars team: Sam Lake, who will be making her second consecutive start for the Eastern Division, Alisha Burns, Zoe Miller, and Natalie Rippey.

Lake scored for the Eastern Division in last season's 5-4 loss to the West. She has scored seven goals for the Avalanche this season.

Burns is the team's leading scorer, who has scored eight goals and added six assists. Miller, Avon View's "flying wizard," as she is called because of her strong skating ability, has recorded eight points this season. Rippey won last season's Valley High School Hockey League's girls' Rookie of the Year award.
