Tenth annual Hannah Miller tournament a thrill for tiny hockey players

WOLFVILLE - Hockey players ages four to six were on the ice at the Acadia Athletics Complex March 22, enjoying games and a playroom, snacks and a chuck-a-puck game at the 10th Hannah Miller Memorial Tournament.

Seven-year-old Hannah Miller had just finished her first hockey season when she was killed in a traffic accident in Port Williams in 2005.

The annual tournament in her name for QuickStart and IP-level  players was originally set for March 15, but was rescheduled due to a blizzard.

Acadia students run the tournament as part of an academic project and funds raised support minor hockey, girls’ hockey and an Acadia scholarship. The tournament began in 2006.
