Acadia’s men’s hockey team will see its first action at the University Cup March 13 at 1 p.m. against the Universite de Quebec a Trois Rivieres Patriotes.

The UQTR Patriotes are seeded fourth in the eight-team national championship tournament; Axemen are seeded fifth.

The teams had similar records in the regular season, which should make for a good match-up. Acadia finished the regular season with a 20-5-3 record for 43 points, second behind University of New Brunswick’s Varsity Reds.  Acadia lost the Atlantic University Sport conference final to UNB in two straight games.
