The latest former Acadia hockey player to get an opportunity to play professionally is goalie Evan Mosher.
Mosher, who graduated from Acadia in May and played his last game with the Axemen at the 2014 University Cup in Saskatoon, signed a contract late last month to play for the Quad City Mallards of the Central Hockey League.
Before beginning his four-year stint at Acadia, Mosher, a native of Conception Bay South, NL, played major junior hockey with the P.E.I. Rocket of the QMJHL.
In the past season with the Axemen, Mosher had a 2.12 goals against average and a .919 save percentage in 22 games, finishing with a 17-5 win-loss record. He was named the AUHC first all-star goalie.
