WINDSOR, N.S. — Savannah Hartt has been giving her all when on the ice with the Avon View Avalanche’s girls hockey team — and that was evident in their most recent victory.

Hartt scored five goals while adding an assist in the Avalanche’s 9-1 win over the Northeast Kings Titans on Dec. 4 at the Hants Exhibition Arena.

Hartt opened the game’s scoring in the first period and saw Megan McCarthy, Maddie Singer, Brittany Poole and Haley Verge all score for the Avalanche before adding her additional four goals in the third period.

Lauren Golding tallied the Titans lone goal in the second period.

The win marked the team’s sixth consecutive win. Since the start of the season, the Avalanche girls have scored 38 goals while allowing only three.

The Avalanche are scheduled to play the only other undefeated team in the Valley High School Girls Hockey League on Dec. 11. They will be hosting the Central Kings Gators, who will be entering the game with a 2-0-2 record.

The Avalanche will wrap up the Christmas portion of their 2017-18 hockey schedule with a game Dec. 16 in Canning against the Titans before coming home Dec. 18 for a game against West Kings. Game time is 6 p.m. at the Hants Exhibition Arena.
