Shelburne County Schooners open season on Saturday

SHELBURNE -The Shelburne County Schooners will open their 2015 Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League season on June 6 away against the Kennetcook Braves.

  The Schooners will play a Sunday doubleheader against the Windsor Knights the following day.

The team’s first home games will be held on Saturday, June 13 in Clarks Harbour against the Pictou County Albions. The first game will start at 1 p.m. The teams will square off again for another doubleheader the next day in Clarks Harbour.

The Shelburne County Schooners were officially welcomed into the Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League last April.

The league also includes teams from Yarmouth, Kennetcook, Hantsport, Pictou, Windsor and Noel Road.

Home games will again be played in Shelburne and Clarks Harbour.
