Head coach Ian Mosher said June 9 that he had just received word that evening the series was off after a medical emergency occurred.
"The Sydney catcher had a heart attack, and the Sooners asked that the league cancel the series," Mosher said.
Sean Ferguson, who Mosher believes is in his late twenties, is in a medically-induced coma. The team felt they needed to stay close to Ferguson, Mosher said.
Few details are known about Ferguson's prognosis.
"It's absolutely terrible," Mosher said. "In a league like this, with just five teams, we're like a small family where everybody knows everybody else. There's no way to describe how this feels."
The league agreed to postpone the games but no make-up dates have been set yet.
