Kentville’s Wildcats gave up a 6-2 lead in the eighth inning to lose game six of the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League finals 8-6 in Sydney Saturday afternoon.
The Sooners came back to tie the score in the bottom of the inning, with Cory Christie started the comeback with a solo homer leading off for Sydney.
Codey Shrider started for Kentville and pitched into the eighth inning.
Justin Brewer hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth off Curtis Falls for the winning runs.
Billy MacKenzie had three RBI for the Wildcats, and Kevin Matheson, Ian Lockhart and John Chapman each drove in one run.
The seventh and deciding game is set for 6 p.m. this evening, with Kevin Nichols scheduled to start as pitcher for Kentville.
