<strong>Lenwood softball team reunion was a hit in Shelburne</strong>

The Lenwood softballers reunion on Saturday saw a large crowd come to see the former team hit the field once more.

The Lenwood softball team, former “A” champs in the Shelburne County Softball Association were George King, Dave McNeil, Lawrence Bruce, Ed Hartley, Ed Jacklyn, Lloyd Hipson, Mike Johnson, Robbie Acker, Gordon Farmer, Dave Hartley, Billy Acker, Graham “Ding” Bell, Robert Herbert, Sterling Bell, Aubrey Harding and coached by Roy Hartley.

Also to play for Lenwood over the years were Barry Hartley, John Hartley, George Acker, Jim Davis, Lee Davis, David Darrow, Henry Cox, Gary Young, Sonny Farmer, Ron Davis, Mike Eustace and Rob Hartley.

Barry Hartley, who organized this year’s reunion, was captain of the team for their first year.

The Lenwood Ball Team Reunion took place on Saturday with a meet and greet followed by a softball game at the Albert Acker field. A dance was held that evening at the Lions Hall.

For those unable to play, sons and grandsons represented those players on the field.
