Annual NS Marathon/Half Marathon has record turnout in Barrington

 Lots of people came out for the 44th Annual Nova Scotia Marathon/Half Marathon and 10 km, held on Sunday, July 27, in Barrington.

There were record-breaking numbers for the Full Marathon with 80 participants. There were 111 participants in the Half Marathon and 83 participants in the 10 km run, for a total of 274 – the highest registration number in the history of the event.

One local runner participated in the Full Marathon – Sasha Wilson, it was her first marathon.

22 of the Full Marathon runners’ times qualify for the Boston Marathon on April 20, 2015.

Participants came from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Austria, Great Britain, and Norway. The majority of those who took part came from Nova Scotia.
