The talented women of Beauty Slammers: Ladies of Wrestling rolled into town on the weekend for their inaugural Maritime show and put on an action-packed night of entertainment for local fans.

Pro-wrestling announcer “Captain” Kirk Starratt, originally of Cambridge, Hants County, said following the April 25 show that fans were treated to “some of the best womens' professional wrestling action that you're ever going to see outside of the WWE and the TNA.”

The show featured the likes of former WWE superstar Serena Deeb, who was a member of CM Punk's Straight Edge Society, and Serita (also known as Dark Angel in Mexico and Sweet Sarah in Canada), who was a major star in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling around the same time that Hulk Hogan was in charge.

“When you take into consideration all the other great talented women wrestlers on this tour, as a wrestling fan you can't go wrong. You're going to get your money's worth, and then some,” said Starratt in an interview ringside.

Also starring on the tour were Skylar Rose, Beautiful Beaa, the mysterious Canadian Diemond, and Bambi Hall.

The special guest hostess for the Windsor event was Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling legend Hollywood.

A special treat to fans of MainStream Wrestling was a four-man match held near the end of the night.

“For years we had male-dominated cards and sometimes as a special attraction, we would have a women's match. Well, there's been a true gender-role reversal here because we're seeing now women dominate the show and the one men's match being billed as the special attraction,” said Starratt.

Hants County's own Cody “Youngblood” Brown took part in the four-man scramble, along with “Boston Bad Boy” Jason Rumble, Sidewalk Sam and D-Man.

“It's a new age, a new day in Maritime wrestling, and it's great to see the women get the attention they deserve because they're every bit as good as the men,” said Starratt.

Based on the fan reaction in Windsor's Hants County War Memorial Community Centre, Starratt said he wouldn't be surprised if another all-female tour makes a stop in town in the future.

The Beauty Slammers: Ladies of Wrestling 15-stop tour of the Maritimes is slated to run until May 10. For full details, visit: http://beautyslammers.com.
