One man facing charges

Police dismantled a growing operation, seized growing equipment and seized over 20lbs of dried marihuana with an estimated street value of over $150,00.

An Annapolis County man is facing charges after a police searched a property in North Williamston.

Kenneth Lohnes, 49, is facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, cultivation of marihuana and possession of cannabis resin (hashish).

On April 9 at approximately 9am, Annapolis Street Crime Unit members assisted by Annapolis District RCMP and Yarmouth Federal Operations Unit members, executed a CDSA search warrant at a residence on Middle Road, North Williamston, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia.

Police dismantled a growing operation, seized growing equipment and seized over 20lbs of dried marihuana with an estimated street value of over $150,000. One adult male was arrested at the scene.

Lohnes is scheduled to appear in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court in July 2014.
