“We are thrilled that Southwestern Nova Scotia is playing host to the most prestigious street hockey tournament in the world,” says library regional director Erin Comeau. “It will just make access to our Yarmouth branch and headquarters a little trickier over a four-day span.”
Because there will be delays in vehicle access which includes mail delivery, the library warns patrons that items requested through inter-library loan and library express will not be available during that time.
The upside is there will be no library fines issued on materials due Sept. 25 to 28 at any of the library’s 10 branches.
The Yarmouth library is preparing for the event by planning hockey-related displays and guest library cards for visitors to the region.
