RCMP seeking public's assistance
A hit and run crash last night sent a 73-year-old man to Valley Regional Hospital.
Around 9:45 p.m., Kings District R.C.M.P. responded to the hit and run crash on Highway 1 in Cambridge. The injured man was standing beside his car that had broken down when he was struck by a passing truck. The truck failed to stop and fled the scene.
The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model Dodge Ram pickup truck with an aftermarket (magnaflow style) exhaust system. This truck is a dark colour with possible damage to the passenger side and missing a passenger side mirror.
Const. Blair MacMurtery could not confirm Sept. 4 whether the victim was still in hospital, but did say the injuries were not life-threatening.
