A new walk-in-clinic opening in Shelburne hopes to help relieve pressure on the emergency department.
The clinic will be run by a nurse practitioner at the Shelburne Medical Clinic every Monday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.
“The hours will help patients access the clinic who might be working during the day,” said Jody Ybarra, manager of Roseway Hospital.
“One of the hopes is to allow people without a doctor to access health care without using the emergency department for primary care,” she said.
The nurse practitioner will only be accepting patients 19 and older who do not have a primary care provider. The nurse practitioner is also accepting new patients.
