The Hospital Hustle is returning next week to raise funds for Queens General Hospital. Last year the hustle raised over $22,000.
Last year the hustle brought in a little over $22,000. The hustle will be held at the Liverpool Curling club.
The usual tables will be there such as a fudge table, a white elephant table, and a baked goods table.
Larger or pricier items will be auctioned off individually. Home made items and antiques are also often auctioned off. The auction portion starts at 11 a.m.
Donations can be brought in starting Thursday at 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Curling Club. Friday the Curling Club will be open all day to accept donations.
Star Donovan, chair of Hospital Hustle, says the group is always looking for volunteers to help out on the day of the hustle.
“Anybody who wants to volunteer for the hustle, by all means, just come,” says Donovan.
A roped off children’s area will be provided. Donovan says the hustle does get quite busy and the area is provided for the safety of the children.
The Kiwanis Club will be selling burgers and the local doctors will be on hand selling hot dogs.
Admission is one dollar for adults to get in and .50 cents for students.
Larger items can be picked up by Hustle volunteers by calling Donovan at 354-2078.
