The communities of Yarmouth and Digby will host the CJHL Prospects Games for a second straight year on Nov. 8 and 9. The 2013 CJHL Prospects Games will be held in conjunction with the 2013 World Junior A Challenge, which is returning to Yarmouth in November.
The CJHL Prospects Game was created to showcase 40 of the top NHL prospects in the CJHL (Canadian Junior Hockey League). The CJHL Prospects Games feature players from the CJHL's five western leagues competing against the CJHL's five eastern leagues. The event includes a two-game total goal series between Team East and Team West in a battle for the President's Cup, which is awarded annually to the winning team. Player selection for the annual CJHL Prospects Games is a joint initiative of the CJHL and NHL Central Scouting.
"For a second year the CJHL prospects will compete in front of an impressive audience of NHL scouts in Yarmouth and Digby," said CJHL President Kirk Lamb. "The CJHL Prospects Games continue to be a highlight of the CJHL schedule for our players and is heavily attended by NHL teams, major junior scouts and coaches from Canadian and American universities and colleges."
