Ryan Power’s first start for the Kentville Wildcats Aug. 21 was somewhat less than memorable. Power showed good velocity, but couldn’t find the plate with any consistency. Truro capitalized with three first-inning runs without a hit en route to an 11-7 victory, their third win in Kentville this season
Tonight's scheduled Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League game between Halifax and Kentville at Memorial Park has been postponed.
The culprit this time is not rain and wet field conditions, as has been the case so many times this season.
Team spokesman Mike Lockhart confirmed Aug. 28 a short had occurred in the lights at Memorial Park over the weekend. He said park staff was unable to get the necessary parts to fix the problem in time for the scheduled 7:30 p.m. start.
Town of Kentville Parks and Recreation staff and the Wildcats apologize for the inconvenience. No decision has been made on if the game will be rescheduled.
