RCMP are investigating theft of vehicles and a subsequent collision that seriously injured one man.
Around 2 a.m. Sunday, Digby RCMP attended the Digby General Hospital where a 19-year-old man was being treated for his injuries.
Investigators later learned the man was involved in a non-reported, hit-and-run collision to a vacant commercial building in the St. Bernard area in a vehicle believed stolen from the Weymouth area.
The suspects then used a vehicle stolen from the Digby area to transport the injured male to hospital.
The 19-year-old has since been transported to the Kentville Hospital and is being treated for serious non life-threatening injuries.
A 17-year-old male has been remanded in custody for breach of probation, theft of motor vehicles and public mischief.
Charges against the 19-year-old man are expected.
The 17-year-old male will be appearing today, Monday, in Comeauville Provincial Court.
The police investigation is continuing.
