Thirteen-year-old Claudia Fulton, Aylesford; 16-year-old Jenna Jackson, Steam Mill, and 15-year-old Cady Miles, Kentville, are competing with the Nova Scotia Bantam Girls' team at nationals in Bedford Aug. 22 to 26.
Team Nova Scotia pulled out a 13-8 win over Alberta Aug. 25 to place fifth at the U-16 girls' baseball nationals in Bedford.
Claudia Fulton, Kingston, had one RBI in her one opportunity at bat. Cady Miles, North Kentville, had two hits in four at bats in the final game.
The team lost 7-1 to Newfoundland and Labrador and 13-2 to Manitoba the day before, finishing round robin play with two wins and four losses.
Miles pitched four innings in the Newfoundland game, allowing five runs. Catcher Jenna Jackson, Steam Mill, filled in on the mound for two innings in the Manitoba game.
