Valley Ex wows crowd as more than 100 entries march down Main Street to kick off week
More than 100 parade entries marched, walked, or drove down Lawrencetown’s Main Street Monday evening – all the way from Fitch Road to the Annapolis Valley Exhibition grounds.
It was a long parade, and the floats, vehicles, people, and animals all ended up at the Main Ring where winners were announced.
Shortly before the parade arrived, Town Crier Peter Davies welcomed the crowds on Day 1 of the exhibition, and then the official opening took place in front of a crowd of dignitaries.
Shortly after the parade exited the Main Ring, officials moved to the new 4-H Barn where John Ray Lawrence cut the ribbon to officially open the building that replaces the old barn torn down earlier this year.
