There were three incidents of taxi fare fraud during the early hours of Aug. 3.
After a report at 1 a.m., police got a warrant and arrested two individuals in North Kentville for evading payment.
At 2:24 a.m., eight or nine people jumped in and then out of a taxi in New Minas. Police located two of the passengers. They paid their fare, but were jailed overnight for public drunkenness.
At 4 a.m., two young women failed to pay for a taxi ride to Aldershot. Their father, however, apologized for the pair and paid up.
