The 2013 Female PeeWee AA Hockey Provincials got underway today at the Apple Dome in Berwick. Provincial Education Minister Ramona Jennex, joined by Berwick Deputy Mayor Jane Bustin and town crier Gary Long, took part in the event’s 3 p.m. official opening puck-drop.     Five teams will compete for the provincial title, including  the host Valley Wild, which opened their weekend with a 4-1 win over the Dartmouth Whalers during a morning game. The Wild face off against the Colchester Cyclones this evening at 5 p.m.,  and against the Pictou Selects and TASA Ducks at 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. games on Saturday.   The championship's final game takes place Sunday at 11 a.m.
