Berwick has launched a free, high-speed wireless broadband service in the downtown core.

“In this day and age, downtown WiFi is really a must. It’s a tool for businesses, a great service for residents and we expect it will draw and keep people and visitors in the Berwick area,” says Mayor Donald Clarke. “This venture supports local economic development initiatives and will improve the operations of the town.”

The WiFi network will cover the much of the downtown core. Service generally extends along Commercial Street, from Marsters Avenue to Orchard Street, using four access points. Additional access points may be installed if approved in future budgets.
