A former Coldbrook resident, current address unknown, who is facing numerous charges has consented to being remanded into custody until his next court appearance.

Anthony James Patterson, 27, is facing a total of 36 charges under the Criminal Code. These include 11 counts of fraud; 14 counts of failing to comply with probation; six counts of possessing stolen property valued at less than $5,000; four counts of theft under $5,000 and unlawfully possessing Morphine.

The accused was present in Kentville Provincial Court on March 4. The matters were adjourned to March 7 for a show cause hearing. Patterson has consented to being remanded into custody until the hearing.

The charges stem from incidents alleged to have occurred in various communities, including Windsor, New Ross, Kentville, New Minas, Coldbrook, Wolfville, Aylesford, Greenwood, Lockhartville and Grand Pre between July 3, 2012 and Feb. 27.

A news release issued by the Kings District RCMP March 1 states that the police have been investigating multiple property offences for the past several months. As a result of the investigation, police laid 27 of the 36 charges.
