On Feb. 22 at 8:30 p.m. at Queens Place Emera Centre the South Shore Wild will take on members of the RCMP from across the South Shore as well as members of the Bridgewater Police Service.
Other fundraising will take place in the lobby and community room. There will be 50-50 tickets sold, a silent auction with donations from local businesses and a mocktail lounge. Mocktails are virgin versions of cocktails. Local members of the RCMP, Fire Department and other First Responders will be acting as bartenders in the mocktail lounge.
The Region of Queens Municipality has donated the ice time for the game.
Money from the event goes back into MADD’s expenses. One of the main projects they use the money for is an educational video and multi-media presentation. MADD produces a video each year for students to watch during assemblies. Donations also go to Teens Against Drunk Driving to help sponsor their events.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
