It’s all about honouring the memory of the late Jack Spindler and his dedication to fair play and young athletes. Northeast Kings Education Centre in Canning is hosting the 2013 Jack Spindler Memorial Junior Basketball Tournament this weekend, Feb. 15 and 16.
Friday’s boys’ games featured Northeast Kings taking on Central Kings, Horton playing West Hants and Horton squaring off with Central Kings while girls’ action featured Northeast Kings versus Evangeline Middle School and Evangeline Middle School playing Coldbrook.
Saturday’s boys’ games will feature West Hants playing Central Kings; Horton takes on Northeast Kings Education Centre and Northeast Kings plays West Hants. In girls’ action Saturday, Mount Uniacke will take on Coldbrook; Evangeline Middle School will play Mount Uniacke, Coldbrook will take on Northeast Kings and Northeast Kings will be squaring off against Mount Uniacke.
