A special election in Annapolis Valley Regional School Board electoral District 3 is set for February 16 with four candidates offering for the seat that wasn’t filled during October municipal elections.

Eric Brown, Linus Hannam, Glen Pulley, and Bob Tumility have all thrown their hats into the ring and the man elected will represent students, staff and parents at Annapolis Royal Regional Academy, Annapolis West Education Centre, Champlain Elementary School, and Clark Rutherford Memorial School.

The seat was left vacant when Tumilty did not re-offer last year and no candidates declared in October.

Voting is from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and voting places include: The New Horizons Club at the Bear River Legion; the Fundy Cove Recreation Centre in Young’s Cove; the Clementsport Legion; and the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home.

And advance poll was held Tuesday at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home.
