As you walk into Fiore Botanica you’ll smell so many fragrances, you won’t know what to name first: Lavender, lemon grass, roses?

Fiore Botanica is the newest store to open on Main Street in Liverpool.  Owner and operator of the store, Kathleen Quinlan is a registered massage therapist and a European trained aromatherapist.

Quinlan came to Queens County in search of a more rural lifestyle.

“It was a dream always of mine to come east to live.  So the ability to do business here and have the kind of lifestyle I could have here was very appealing,” she says.

Quinlan has been working on her line of products since 1997, which includes bath bombs and salts, lip balms, facial scrubs, lotions, atomizers and more.  She also released a chemical free shampoo and conditioner set the day she opened the store.  Many of the products are scent free but many have natural scents such as jasmine or lemongrass.

The ingredients for Quinlan’s products are imported from all around the world and she hand blends each product herself.  Her signature scent is Montefioralle, which she says was inspired by a small town in Tuscany, Italy.  The scent is featured in several of her products.

The store opened on Feb. 5 and Quinlan was welcomed by several local businesses and groups.  She received sweets from Memories Café, a plant from Hoggie’s Place and a welcome letter from Mayor Christopher Clarke.

“It’s wonderful.  I am a small town girl.  The people have been very friendly and very welcoming,” says Quinlan.

Quinlan moved to Queens from Montreal where she had a successful massage therapy studio. She originally lived in rural Ontario.

Quinlan plans on offering massage therapy in the store however not during store hours.

The store is open Tuesday – Saturday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Store hours will be changing in the summer.
