The homeowner was unaccounted after a house fire in Marshalltown.
Kenny Ring’s house on Hwy 101 suffered extensive smoke, water and fire damage after a woodstove was overturned in the early morning hours of Sunday, Feb. 10.
Dispatch received calls from a residence just around the corner on Ginny Hill Road. RCMP also responded to that residence.
They called out Digby, Brighton Barton and Smith’s Cove Fire Departments just before 3:30 a.m.
Firefighters searched the residence for Ring and chased the fire into the attic crawl space.
They rescued a small cat from the home.
Several sources say a car believed to belong to Ring, was found abandoned in the road in Sissiboo with smashed windows.
Firefighters left the scene at 5 a.m.
