Middleton's new outdoor rink looks like it will be a hit with local skaters. Just completed by the town and volunteer firefighters, the large ice surface is already attracting local skaters, including some local hockey players who think it's a great idea.

The Middleton Fire Department has challenged the Kingston Fire Department to an outdoor hockey game under the lights on Friday, Feb. 1.

The game will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the outdoor skating rink in Centennial Park at the location of the old tennis courts.

There will be hot chocolate and a bon fire to keep you warm.
