The Annapolis RCMP received 103 calls for service between December 31 and January 7. Among these were: two false alarms; two false 911s; four traffic accidents; five domestic assaults; and six mental health incidents.
Following are a few of the calls:
-- December 31 at 10:01 a.m. Cornwallis Park. Police were called after 7,000 liters of furnace oil were stolen from the YMCA.
-- December 31 at 11:15 a.m. Nictaux. Police were asked to intervene between parties over unwanted text messages.
-- December 31 at 11:31 a.m. Inglewood. Police received a report of vehicle that had been abandoned for couple of days. The vehicle had broken down and was picked up.
-- December 31 at 11:45 a.m. Lawrencetown. Police received a report of an unlicensed driver operating a vehicle. Police will eventually find him.
-- December 31 at 3:10 p.m. Middleton. Police were called when it was discovered that a vacant building had been broken into. There was damage inside.
-- December 31 at 4:19 p.m. Springfield. Police and the Animal Control Officer were called about livestock being neglected.
-- December 31 at 9:22 p.m. Wilmot. Police attended a single-vehicle accident on Highway 1. No injuries were reported. The driver was charged for not having a driver’s license.
-- December 31 at 10:26 p.m. Middleton. Police received a report that someone was setting off fireworks and it may have hit a building.
-- December 31 at 11:07 p.m. Lawrencetown. Police were called to investigate threats made over Facebook.
-- January 1 at 1:57 p.m. Lawrencetown. Police were called about two apartments that had been broken into while the tenants were away over Christmas.
-- January 1 at 19:31 p.m. Spa Springs. Police received a report of a possible impaired driver. Police attended but the vehicle was gone.
-- January 1 at 19:46 p.m. Lawrencetown. A break and enter was reported at an apartment. Electronics were stolen.
-- January 2 at 18:30 p.m. Lawrencetown. A break and enter was discovered at a residence. Entry was made through a window.
-- January 2 at 9:49 a.m. Middleton. Police were called to a break and enter at the Rosa M Harvey library. Money was stolen.
-- January 2 at 1:49 p.m. Lawrencetown. A disturbance was reported at a residence. Police attended and it was managed.
-- January 2 at 2:24 p.m. Lawrencetown. Police are investigating four more reported break and enters into apartments. Electronics, a guitar, and televisions were stolen.
-- January 2 at 7:08 p.m. Bridgetown. A possible impaired driver was reported seen driving around town. Police did not locate the vehicle.
-- January 3 at 8:15 a.m. Lawrencetown. Police were advised of “ unfriendly comments ” made over Facebook. The Community Policing Officer will probe further.
-- January 3 at 12:02 p.m. Middleton. A person came to the police office to report that while he was driving a group of persons in another car had made a gesture to him which he took as a threat.
-- January 3 at 2:55 p.m. Victoria Vale. A person reported a possible fraud after purchasing a phone and later, when trying to have it activated, finding out it was a stolen phone. Police are investigating further.
-- January 3 at 3:42 p.m. Bridgetown. A resident received a suspicious call from someone with an American accent about owing money that she knows nothing about.
-- January 3 at 5:53 p.m. Bridgetown. Police are investigating where a court order may have been breached over contact on Facebook.
-- January 3 at 6:38 p.m. Lawrencetown. A noise complaint regarding a loud stereo was reported.
-- January 4 at 2:50 a.m. Middleton. Police were called to Soldier’s Memorial Hospital after a patient had locked himself in a bathroom.
-- January 4 at 8:56 a.m. Middleton. A person reported losing a wallet, with cash, somewhere downtown.
-- January 4 at 9:29 a.m. Highway 101 near Middleton. A jeep was reported to be passing vehicles at a high rate of speed. Police looked for the vehicle but failed to locate it.
-- January 4 at 2:14 a.m. Victory. Propane tanks and lumber were reported stolen.
-- January 4 at 3:33 p.m. Middleton. Police received a report that vehicles were parked on the sidewalk beside the liquor store.
-- January 5 at 12:07 a.m. Highway 1. A pedestrian reported nearly being struck buy a vehicle.
-- January 5 at 2:06 a.m. Police received a report there was a group of intoxicated people in Lawrencetown. A patrol was made, but no one was found.
-- January 5 at 2:14 a.m. Middleton. Police received a report that someone was banging on the door. The person had forgotten a jacket inside.
-- January 5 at 5:56 p.m. Paradise. Police received a report of a possible break and enter after a neighbour noticed an open door and tracks in the driveway.
-- January 5 at 7:35 p.m. Nictaux. A property owner reported trespassing after snowmobilers were in the yard.
-- January 5 at 9:03 p.m. Middleton. Police were called to a residence to help remove an unwanted guest.
-- January 5 at 9:18 p.m. Brickton. Threats via texting were reported.
-- January 5 at 9:56 p.m. Lawrencetown. A complaint of harassment was reported.
-- January 6 at 7:32 a.m. Meadowvale. A possible case of a missing person was reported. The individual was visiting with a friend.
-- January 7 at 6:26 a.m. Police were called to a minor accident after the driver was upset and texting.
-- January 7 at 6:28 a.m. Middleton. Police received a report that a female was yelling and kicking doors. She was located, arrested, and taken to cells.
