Sunday looks like a good day to hunker down in the house. Treacherous driving conditions and winds gusting to 89 kilometres, with a wind chill of minus nine, greet those tackling any sort of outdoor activity today.

The winter storm warning issued yesterday for most of mainland Nova Scotia remains in effect, with additional amounts of upwards of 15 to 25 centimetres of snow and blowing snow today.

Whiteout conditions can be expected and high water levels and rough pounding surf due to high waves are expected late this afternoon and in the evening.

Some churches in Yarmouth have cancelled services for Sunday morning.

Visit the Environment Canada website for updated information on the storm.
