The emergency department at Soldiers Memorial Hospital (SMH), Middleton will be closed due to physician shortage on Saturday, Dec. 8  at 6 p.m. until Sunday, Dec. 9 at 8 a.m.

Annapolis Valley Health advises that anyone with an emergency should call 911. The emergency department at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville is available.

For non-emergency health information call 811 to speak with a registered nurse.

Annapolis Valley Health said it apologizes for any inconvenience the December 8 closure may cause.
