On behalf of the Town and Municipality of Yarmouth, Yarmouth Recreation will be hosting a ceremony to celebrate National Flag of Canada Day and it invites the public to attend.
This special day represents the first opportunity in the new year that Canadians have to gather and proclaim their patriotism and pride in Canada and our national symbols, as well as honour those who have personally sacrificed so we may live in freedom.
People are asked to gather at 9:30 a.m. for a 9:45 a.m. start at the Cenotaph (in front of the library) for the official ceremony. Refreshments will follow at Yarmouth Town Hall.
