There were 105 reports made to RCMP in Kings County between Feb. 6 and 9.
Feb. 6
A sudden death was reported.
The Nova Scotia Power compound near Kingston was targeted again by thieves. Copper wire and two chainsaws were stolen.
Two sheds on Pleasant Street in Wolfville were broken into.
Two homes in Kingston were broken into, one through an unlocked door. Money and prescription drugs were taken.
A man, stopped at a checkpoint in New Minas, did not have license. His vehicle was seized.
Feb. 7
Just after midnight a 23-year-old man was found impaired while driving at the checkpoint. Later a newly licensed 22-year-old man was stopped with open liquor and signs of impairment. His vehicle was towed.
A school bus violation was reported from Casey’s Corner at 8:28 a.m.
A woman in Greenwich found herself locked into her apartment due to a faulty doorknob. She could not contact her landlord, so was grateful when police rescued her.
Police determined a gas and go report from Coldbrook was actually due to a faulty pump.
At 2:49 p.m. a man tried to steal some meat from a Kingston grocery store.
The license number of a hit and run driver in a New Minas parking lot was reported by a Good Samaritan.
Police are investigating a report of a man drinking liquor in a vehicle parked in New Minas.
Two recreational vehicles at a Coldbrook business were insecure and might have been entered, but nothing was taken.
A mature woman in New Minas called police when she discovered an adult magazine on her doorstep.
Police were called upon to assist in a child welfare case.
There was a three-vehicle accident in New Minas. One driver was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign.
A shoplifter was stopped in Kingston.
Feb. 8
A tiller was stolen from a shed in Woodville.
A vehicle drove over a lawn in Canning.
Three requests for assistance came in from child welfare authorities.
A 19-year-old woman was caught shoplifting in Wolfville.
An unregistered vehicle was stopped in North Kentville at 6:15 p.m.
A possible prowler was reported in North Kentville after tracks were observed in the snow.
A mischief complaint involving a truck alarm came in from Highbury at 9:40 p.m.
Prescriptions pills were stolen from a home in the Greenwood area.
Two men, aged 20 and 24, had a loud argument over $20 in a Wolfville parking lot.
A Waterville resident reported noises that might have been a break-in at 11:20 p.m. Police determined the sound was not criminal.
An intoxicated man reported being assaulted, but would not provide details.
Feb. 9
A male driver was slightly injured when his vehicle rolled over in a gully at 7:25 a.m. in Grafton.
A window was smashed at a New Minas business overnight, but nothing was taken.
There were two mental health calls and three domestic incidents. Police are investigating a double assault.
A total of eight family incidents took place. Two calls were about a pregnant teen, one involved a 14-year-old son who assaulted his mother and another was the result of an 11-year-old breaking a window.
There were six calls to youth group homes.
Checkpoints were set up in New Minas and Greenwich. Six driving complaints were received. Speeding was reported in Harmony and a man in his 50s was stopped for speeding in Coldbrook.
Collisions occurred in Port Williams, New Minas, Greenwich, Kingston and Avonport.
There were reports of harassing phone calls, phone threats and threats made during an argument.
There were no false alarms, but seven false 911 calls were made.
