Volleyball Axewomen lose 3-2 to St. F.X.

The Acadia Axewomen’s volleyball season has come to an end.

The women closed out the regular season Saturday night at home, losing to St. F.X. 3-2 (25-21, 17-25, 20-25, 25-19, 12-15).

Captain Alyssa Berry led the Axewomen’s attack with 15 kills while Nicole Davidson and Meg Rector each added 13. Davidson also led the team with 15 digs while Kristin Bolduc and Alana Murphy each had five assisted blocks.

The Axewomen finished with a 5-12 for seventh in the eight-team league.

The conference’s playoff tournament is slated for next weekend in Moncton.
