On Nov. 24, before a National gathering of tourism industry colleagues in Ottawa, Danny Morton, White Point’s General Manager, accepted the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council Award for Excellence in Human Resource Development on behalf of his team at White Point.

White Point’s commitment to excellence has been a priority over the years. Annually achieving the "Commitment to Excellence" designation through Emerit, more than 75 per cent of White Point’s employees maintain Certification in their respective areas of employment.

Upon receiving the award, Morton says, "I am so proud for all our staff. To be successful, an HR program has to belong to everyone. The priorities of guest service have to be sincere and universal.  At White Point, it is. Accepting this award, on behalf of my White Point Team, is so gratifying at this challenging time."

The award was presented at the Canadian Tourism Awards hosted by the Tourism Industry Association of Canada.
