Thomas James Penney

We, the family of Thomas James Penney 56, of Florence, are heartbroken to announce his passing at Northside General Hospital on April 9, 2018, surrounded by his families’ love. He was welcomed into Heaven by his mother Georgette (Bond) Penney; father Owen Penney and his three brothers. Tommy is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila (Boulter) Penney; their children, Steven (Natasha) and Jenna (Marc) Penney, their two grandchildren Meilla and Ash MacDougall, his 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Tommy will always be remembered for his kind soul. It seemed no matter who you were or what your story was Tommy always has a way of making everyone feel special, welcomed and loved. Tommy was undoubtedly the proudest Papa if there ever was one. With every possible opportunity, he devoted his time, attention and unconditional love to his children and grandchildren who he cherished more than anything. “ Watch over us and find peace Tommy knowing how much we love you and how deeply you will be missed”. There will be a funeral service held at St. Joseph’s Parish Church in Bras d’ Or on April 13, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a luncheon at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall.
