Marjorie Roberts — Yarmouth

ROBERTS, Marjorie Carole — age 84 of Vancouver Place Seniors Residence in Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on September 15, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Ruby (Hayes) Langthorne of Argyle. Marjorie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marjorie took great pride in her baking, quilting, knitting and crafting skills. She is survived by her daughters, Gwendolyn (Norman) Fitzgerald, Comeau's Hill; Carole Roberts (Laryn) Murphy, Pubnico Head; Lillian (Robert) McCarthy, Deerfield; sisters-in-law Margaret Langthorne and Alta Harding; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Victor Burton Roberts; brother, Stanley Langthorne; sisters, Ruby (George) Thomas, Ruth (Charles) Rines, Myrtle (Lawrence) Hurlburt, and Parazanda (Warren) Gould. Arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Friday, December 1, 2017 from 7-9 P.M. in Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel. A private family graveside service took place Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Pastor Mitchell DeWare officiatied. No flowers by family request.
